H & R Block, Inc., a Kansas City based company released its earnings on Monday June 29, 2009 for the quarter ended in April 2009. It earned $706.9 million or $2.09 per share, during this quarter, which beats analysts average estimate of $2.05.

H & R Block had better than expected earnings in 3 out of last 4 quarters. The company exceeded Wall Street expectations by 2.4% in October 2008, by 100% in January 2009, and by 2.0% in April 2009.

H & R Block, Inc., provide tax, investment, retail banking, accounting, and business consulting services and products to consumers throughout United States, Canada and Australia. The Company was founded in 1946 and is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri.
