Carter’s, Inc., (CRI): Founded in 1865, based in Atlanta, Georgia, Carter’s Inc, designs, sources and markets apparel for babies and young children in the United States. The company offers its children wear products under the Carter’s Child of Mine, Just One Year, and OshKosh brand names.
Market is expecting a profit of 66 cents a share for the quarter ended September 2009, a jump of 6 cents compared to its actual profit of 60 cents a share it posted in the same quarter a year ago. The company posted profit of 47 cents, 38 cents and 33 cents in the quarters ended in December 2008, March 2009 and June 2009 respectively.
Currently its shares are trading at around $26.85 just under its 52 week high of $29.49 with an average volume of about 1.2 million shares per trading day. CRI is in my buy watch list for short term trading. Watch for earnings on Friday January 15, 2009 before market open.

JP Morgan Chase & Co, (JPM): Founded in 1823, headquartered in New York, New York, JP Morgan Chase & Co, is a financial holding company, provides a range of financial services worldwide.
Market is expecting a profit of 62 cents a share for the quarter ended December 2009, a jump of 55 cents compared to its actual profit of 7 cents a share it posted in the same quarter a year ago. The company posted actual profit of 40 cents, 28 cents and 82 cents in previous quarters ended March 2009, June 2009, and September 2009 respectively.
Shares are currently trading at around $44.69 just under its 52 week high of $47.47 with an average volume of about 35 million shares per trading day. JPM is in my buy watch list for short term trading. Watch for earnings on Friday, January 15, 2009 at 7:00 am eastern.
